WMP9 no sound from ripped CD

I have xp and wmp9. I ripped 2 cds to wmp and when I
want them to play, the player just highlights the tracks
and scrolls through the tracks of the cd but does not
play them. Two other cds that were ripped when I had
WMP7 (before updating to 9) play with no problem
whatsoever. Please help
