won't startup

Hello,
I need some help and am not really sure where to go. If
you could answer my question or just direct me somewhere
else I would be very appreciative.
I recently was cleaning a bunch of files off my computer.
I deleted a lot from "My Documents". Next, I went to
add/remove programs and removed a bunch of extraneous
programs I never use (just random things, nothing
important). I then defragmented my hard drive and shut
down.
Now when I startup it goes to a blue page (similar to the
one that checks for errors when you shut down improperly)
and says it is checking for drive errors. It scans
everything, gives a detailed report and then says that
there are no errors. It then shuts down and starts up to
a black screen with white text that says the computer
didn't start properly because of hard/software issues. It
asks how I want to start up (safe mode, last known good
config., or normally) and none of them work. It tries (a
bunch of things print up on the screen:
C:\....\.....\.....\drivers\hub or something like that)
but then it just shuts down.
What do I do? I can't get onto the desktop to just update
XP. If I boot from the CD I have to delete the parition
(this means I lose al files right?). What can I do? ANy
input would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a WinXP CD then try a Repair Install. You won't lose any of
your personal files.
For more Info check here
