WordPad on Windows XP

I have a form cover letter on a floppy disk. When I copy
it into the frame for a cover letter on a job application
online, The addresses (1227 S. Washington, Woodland, IL
60000, ets.) come out in double space automatically. I
want them to appear in single space. HOW DO I DO THIS?

Your letter is probably not really a wordpad document. Wordpad can read text
and basic formatting from word documents, but not any advanced formatting.

Either redo your letter using features that Wordpad supports or use Word
(you have to buy it).

If you mean a Word Frame then these are treated as if they are not in a
frame.

Or try Easy Office, a free Word-like word processor. Do a search - it's a
8-plus MB download.

There are probably two carriage returns (hidden from veiw) after each
line. Put cursor in before the first characters in the subsequent
lines, then press backspace key to delete "to left".
