work offline problem

I am using a cable modem ..without me clicking on "work
offline" on the File menu, the internet connection will
go into this mode and I will be directed to a telephone
connection which I do not have..this happens fairly
frequently ..any ideas on how to prevent this??

Hi Roger -

First, let's take a look at your settings.

1) Open Control Panel
2) Open Internet Properties
3) Click on the "Connections" tab

In the middle, there's 3 radio buttons. Make sure this is set to "Never
dial a connection". Let me know if it's already that way.

1. go to My Computer--> Tools--> Folder Options--> Offline Files
2. Uncheck Display reminder....
3. All done!!!
