| I have one computer tht cannot access our workgroup, and visa versa. We can all see this computer as part of the workgroup, but when trying to connect we get a message that states "Windows could not start the computer browser on Local Computer. For mor information, review the System Event Log. If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code 2550". Everyone is runnign XP Home edition. I have tried the fix in the knowledge base which is turn on NetBIOS over TCP/IP (did that)and start the Computer Browser Service (will not start--this is when I get the above message). Everyone else in the workgroup has the same settings, and their browser service startup is set to automatic. Any ideas why this one machine cannot be accessed? | Guest
