What's the issue first off? Most likely its something that can be fixed.
You can always rid yourself of an OS with a format of the drive.

He probably got Windows XP "Home Edition" and finally
realized that he got ripped off for lack of features that
are availible in Windows 2000 and Windows XP
Professional!.

Well that's his fault for not looking into the differences. I did the same
thing. I got my computer with HE, and a few months later, I was running
Pro.
