write protection

I had just put in a game for windows 95 but could not use
it so i decided to delete it,but i can't because it is
write protected.the message say's cannot delete,write
protected.delete write protection or use another disc.Can
anyone please tell me how to delete write protection.I
have got a windows xp.thankyou
