writing a cd in XP Professional and file corruption

Posted: 07-08-2003, 12:24 PM
I recently tried to copy data files (AutoCAD dwg's)to cd
using Windows Explorer in XP Professional. I tried to do
several directories at once and did not have enough disk
space to to copy to a single cd so I deleted the
directories in the 'files to be written to cd' window.
After doing this all of the files in these directories
were updated to the date and time I attempted to make the
copy and now when I try to open the AutoCAD files I
recieve a 'drawing file not valid' error. The files are
unrecoverable using AutoCAD utilities. Any ideas?
