can anyone help me to get this printer printing to both sides of a sheet of
paper?

Sure - purchase FinePrint from www.fineprint.com. Alternatively, you could
purchase a new printer. That printer is no longer supported by HP and you
are using the native driver which does enough to get it to print and nothing
more.

If you don't want to do either of the above, you're just going to have to
live with turning the paper over manually.
