XP Breaks Connection with USB Printer

Posted: 10-28-2003, 10:22 PM
I have a new USB printer and a new usb mass storage
device attached to an IBM T20 with the older USB 1.1 and
XP Professional. XP is very persistent in telling me
that the mass storage device will work more slowly
because of the older USB connection, and every time I get
the warning I close it out. However, every time I do
this XP beaks the connection with my USB printer. I ebd
up having to turn off and then restart the printer to
reestablish the connection. Is there any way to disable
this XP warning? I have updated all printer drivers, so
that is not the problem.

Thanks.
