XP can't print to a 98 PC

I need help.

I have several XP machines that need to print to a printer
which is attached locally to a Windows 98 PC. When the XP
machine first logs onto the network it can print to the 98
print server, but shortly afterwards it loses its
connection to the printer, but not to the rest of the
network, or other printers.

This was also happening with XP to a 95 Print Server. The
fix suggested was to install an XP service pack, which I
did to no avail. I then reformatted the machine and
installed Windows 98 on it instead. But i'm still getting
the same problems.

I have other Windows 95, 98 and 2000 PCs on the netowrk,
and they're not affected by this problem. It is XP only.

Can you help?
