xp cd driver

My CD-RW was working fine for the first 4 days that I had
XP installed, now XP says I don't have the correct drivers
installed for it. If the only drivers for it are ON the XP
CD, HOW am I SUPPOSED to load them when XP will not READ
anything from my CD-RW drive? All I need is a driver for
my CD-RW. It's an ATAPI LG 52x32x52x CD-RW.

What if you can't access the Windows CD. And once you
download the Whole CD onto your harddrive from a buddies
computer, it still can't find the appropriate drivers?

Try deleting the CD/RW drive from Device Manager and then reboot and
get XP to redetect them.
