XP clean install using upgrade.

If I remember correctly you can do a full install even if
you only have a restore CD. You will have to install ME on
the system first. Then try the following.

Load the XP Install CD. When you get to the setup screen
select full install (Advanced), upgrade is the default. XP
will still check to see if you have a OS on the computer,
which is why you have to reload ME from the restore CD,
and continue with the full install.

Note, if you have a problem and have to start over you may
have to reload ME again. At least doing a restore does not
take long if you don't load any apps or updates.

away around this, i don't want to buy an original Windows
ME CD for $200.00, I might just as well buy the full
version of XP for $200.00 I'am not going to do either. How
do you get around this. I can always just install XP over
ME, however this is not what i want to do!
