Default XP Crashing

While connected to the net via dial-up I am getting an
alert that says Shutdown By NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM. It then
begings a coutdown to restart giving this messege :-

Windows will now restart because Remote Call Procedure
Service terminated unexpectedly.

And the shutsdown and restarts.

The machine was used on a network, Adsl connected but now
is stand alone - via a 56k dialup.

Any ideas anyone ??
Thanks

Apparently, your computer has an unwelcome visitor (VIRUS) known
as the WM32 Blaster/Lovsan WORM. It only takes a split second for
this WORM to infect your computer if a firewall is not enabled and you
have an active internet connection.

It entered the computer through the internet connection because the "firewall"
was not properly enabled and essential critical updates were not installed from
the Windows Update website. For instructions on fixing the problem, visit:

If your computer is constantly attempting to shutdown
or reboot, quickly go to:

Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter.
This opens the Command Prompt window.

Then type: shutdown -a , and hit enter.

This should halt the rebooting problem.

Then immediately turn-on Windows XP's built-in Firewall:

Thiere is a similar post an ~hour ago (Remote Call Procedure), the answer
given by someone was;

You probably have the blaster virus, take a look here and install the patch:

Default xp crashing

I have a new computer, 3 days old. I dont know if I have
a bad version of xp but whenever I use the computer, for
no reason, a window appears saying REMOTE PROCEDURE CALL,
NT/AUTHORITY\SYSTEM, then it shuts down. Also when I have
downloaded files, as I've tried to open them they open
for a few seconds start to install then shuts down the
file.
