XP creating new accounts for me

XP has started creating new accounts for me whenever I
log on. I haven't installed any new programs or changed
any settings, but everytime I log on it creates a
different user directory for me (ie -- instead of all my
files being under "owner", they're now under owner.regina
and temp.regina and now temp.regina.000).

I thought it was an isolated incident the first time, and
couldn't find any info on why it was happening, so I
moved all my files to the owner.regina file. Everything
went fine, and now three months later it's done it again.

Does anyone know why this is happening, and how I can
make it go back to my original setting?
