We do have Active Directory and it is using the third party dns because it
supports dynamic updates and srv records. Any help would be grateful.

Hello Jeremy:RIS will work with third-party DHCP and DNS, as the PXE protocol will use
the same ports as DHCP to communicate with the Windows 2000 Server. As a
side note, I have seen QIP DHCP servers as well as Unix BIND work well with
RIS.
