XP hangs on boot

I can boot in safe mode, but when I boot up normally it
hangs before the logon screen. I modified the
msconfig.exe/Boot.ini to use /BASEVIDEO and the computer
will boot fine now. I guess that means that I have a
conflict between the driver I am using and the monitor or
the video card and I cannot seem to fix it
from this point. I have a "Samsung SyncMaster 192N"
monitor that does not seem to have driver on the
installation CD or on the Samsing website. Any ideas?
