XP Home edition writes to and from mapped drives on W2k3 Server extremely slow?

When you map a drive to windows server 2003 from XP Home Edition does
it
slow down writes to and from the server (bandwidth throttling?)? It
took
almost 90 minutes for a 55MB file to transfer to a shared drive on
W2k3Server as well as like 90 minutes when I tried to transfer it back
from the share to the Home Edition. When I upgraded the computer to
XP Professional the problem went away. Any reason for this?

Thx
