My OS is an OEM 98SE. Can I use the XP Home upgrade?

alot of it depends on your hardware, so microsoft has a
great little program called the Windows XP Upgrade
Advisor. follow the link at the end of this post and
download and run the program. it will run a few tests and
tell u if u can upgrade to windows XP

Thanks, I will use that. However my question is this:
Does my OEM installation of 98SE qualify for the upgrade?

Your Windows version is eligible for the upgrade.

That leaves *just* the hardware adequacy and compatibility issues to
be checked, plus the preparatory work for doing the actual upgrade.

Is it possible to upgrade my new XP Home Pc to
Professional edition without wiping the disc please ?
