XP Laptops print spooler service need to be started manually

Posted: 08-26-2003, 11:42 AM
Can anyone out there help?? ive searched the entire
microsoft knowledge base for a resolution to an xp
problem, but have found nothing. The xp laptop in question
is running sp1, when you try to print from the xp laptop
(to network printer) the print job isnt submitted. when
you check services, the print spooler service isnt started
even though its set to start automatically. after manually
starting the print spooler service it prints. there are no
error messages given when trying to print in event viewer.

has anyone experienced this before??? if so please help.
