XP run Canon N670Uscanner and Canon A300 camera?

My scanner worked fine until I installed the A300, which
now works fine. BUT the N670U quit working, and I can't
wake it up again. Yes, I've tried talking to Canon, but
don't understand their language.(Others refer me to
Cannon). Any suggestions please?
