Packard Bell. Not just that, but it would be specifically tied to the
model/motherboard.
Sorry. You will have to buy a full or upgrade retail version of XP to stay legal.

I started off with a packard bell i-media 4716 with XP
pre installed at the factory. This was backed up with
four discs supplied from P-B. ( NOT XP discs ) Recently
the mobo popped, and took the processor and memory chips
with it. I have now rebuilt another system with the
original hard drive from my expired unit. I now find
myself with virtually enough spares to build another pc
for the kids ( who blew up the original one )My question
is - can I transfer/copy my original XP from my pc to the
new one I am about to build? I do not want to pay £160 or
therabouts for a new copy of XP. Any ideas???????
