Default XP user profile

I tried to log on to my XP Pro. workstation this morning
and received a "Cannot find user profile" message.

I am now getting a new user wizard asking me if I would
like to take the XP tour.

Is there a solution to get my profile back?

Try this: "How to Restore the Operating System to a Previous State in
Windows XP" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306084).

Or you can create the new profile and:

Copy the files from the old account to the new one

C:\Documents and Settings\<old username>\

C:\Documents and Settings\<new username>\

Hope you can solve the problem...

Default Re: XP user profile

This works even when the profile has been deleted.

When a profile is deleted, the folders and files remain in the C:\Documents
and Settings\ folder
