XP vs Vista wireless connection problems

Posted: 06-07-2007, 05:28 PM
My desktop computer is XP Home Edition it is connected to a Belkin wireless G
router. I used to have a laptop that ran XP Home as well AND never had any
wireless connection problems!!!!! I recently purchased a new laptop that has
Vista on it. Now I have connection problems all the time, but only on the
laptop: the connection is always weak, I often cannot connect and when I
finally do get connected I cannot stay connected. It continuously drops and
restarts the connection to the laptop. What is the problem? Are Vista and
XP not compatiable? Do I need to buy Vista for the desktop? Do I need to
buy a new router? Is there a patch or configuration that I am missing? I AM
PULLING MY HAIR OUT TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT AND I AM NOT FEELING WARM AND
FUZZY TOWARD VISTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!
