XPE SP2 Tools Say Evaluation Copy

Posted: 09-12-2005, 06:46 PM
I downloaded and installed XPE SP2. However, when i run the tools, they say
they are evaluation copies and I cannot enter Runtime-image licenses for
images. During the install, I used the product key i got when i purchasesd
SP1. I also got the link to the SP2 download and it says nothing about an
evalution download. Anyone know what is happening?

It sounds like you downloaded from the public MS site... in order to get the
non-eval version you have to get it from the OEM secure site
https://microsoft.embeddedoem.com

I downloaded from https://microsoft.embeddedoem.com. However, I did not
install SP1 tools first - could that matter?

Tim,

Correct download but incorrect install sequence :-)

SP2 is just an upgrade to SP1. You need to install SP1 (non-Eval) first.
