YO Bubbator Printing to Vista Shared Printer from windows 98 NOT in our lifetime!!!!!!!!!!

I have read hundreds of messages about this issue.

How is it NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO DO THIS? Amazing!!!!!

Open the firewall
Add printer sharing to the network
Enable the Guest account
Share the printer
Add guest on the security tab
install the printer on the win 98 computer
browsing to find the printer on the vista comp
after successfully install the printer: attempt to print a test page

And of course then: printer is no longer available

This is just plain stupid.

At best an oversight. Most probably another example of abandonement.
Something Apple is very good at, and famous for. And MS keeps working at.
Coming soon to a store near you Apple-Microsoft.Inc.

For me the SOLUTION is: connect the printer to the XP computer so the
grandchildrens' windows 98 computers can use the printer. (The Learning
Company games do not work on XP so we continue to use 98.)

And lots of other VT annoyances I recommend to not install Office 2007 if
you want to get any work done this year.

If you do, watch out for the new default non-compatible file formats. Nicht
