We talked about the latest web browser in the town, Google Chrome last night and we think that it has everything in place to make it a compelling force on web. Google Chrome is a nice endeavor and web definitely needs a web browser which understands the technologies of present than past. We at Realgeek are always for innovation and if Google Chrome makes that happen then we are getting our wishes fulfilled. We have been keeping an eye on all the recent developments about Google Chrome and some of us here have also been playing with the latest Google darling since its launch.Google Chrome is essentially based on Webkit and it has derived elements from Firefox as well. Here is a list of the about:Pages on Google Chrome and mind you that about:config doesn’t work in Google Chrome:

1. about:version displays you the current version of the Google Chrome at the moment.

2. about:memory shows you the memory consumption of the active browsers on the desktop. It will display the memory being utilized by the particular tab in the Google Chrome web browser. It was showing my Firefox browser in its stats but Chrome couldn’t identify the Flock social web browser.

3. about:network shows you a list of options like “Show I/O tracking” and “Show Performance” that will let you know what is hapenning on your browser.

4. about:stats shows you some information regarding internal counters and timers in a detailed form which you will probably never use.

5. about:plugins conveys you about the installed and the enabled plugins on Google Chrome.

6. about:cache gives you a list of cached files on Google Chrome and you will need to empty it regularly because it doesn’t give the option of limiting cache size yet.

7. about:histograms displays you the internal happennings of the web browser which you will probably never want to know.

8. about:dns gives you information regarding the DNS records.

9. about:hang can be typed in the address bar of the active tab to hang up that particular tab. Your further sugnals to that hanged webpage won’t be accepted.

10. about:crash crashes the active tab and displays you an image like the one shown below.
