Ravish (our developer, he rarely blogs) often tells me stories about crazy coders who do stuff just for the heck of it. They do it, as they say in USA, just for the kicks.
Some similar hackers from Crossover have ported the Google Chrome to Mac and Linux. They are calling it Crossover Chromium and they used Wine to achieve this feat. Please bear in mind that this is just a proof of concept rather than any official version. They actually wanted to show what Wine is capable of doing. Wine is an open source technology which allows Windows executables to run on Intel based UNIX operating systems like Linux or Mac. Chromium is an open source browser (I don’t want to call it browser though) and it is made for geek fun and you must not make any transactions using it.
You can download it free of cost (as if we would pay them) from this website.

i keep learning about more and more advantages and features with Chrome, with privacy, for example; now if only they would take care of the browser’s fickle cookie management…
