One has to preserve battery on mobile devices because they always seem to die out soon, especially when all you did was run few applications, they just die on you when need them most.
Here are some generic tips for Improving Blackberry battery life:
Keeping WiFi enabled does a substantial power drain, so turning it off when it is not required by you saves a lot of power. on the home screen, look for the icon that is the wifi tower which should say “Turn wireless off” (or on, if it is already off) and press the wheel. The Handset ends up draining power, especially when these networks have poor signal.
Some times blackberry would wake you up in the middle of the night only to let you know that you got a spam email.. this sucks! and you have the ability to make your Blackberry automatically turn itself off at a set time each day.
To enable this, press on the Options icon in the home page and click on Auto On/Off. When you click there, you have the option of setting the on and off times and the option to enable or disable the auto on/off feature. Weekdays and weekends can also be set according to your preference. Don’t worry, alarms and reminders will still work even if it is auto off.
