HTC has unviled its Windows Mobile 6.1 HTC S743 smartphone in the competitive US market. Measuring 1.7-inches wide the HTC S743 offers candybar form-factor and pocket-friendly size.

HTC S743 could be an ideal choice for the businessmen as it supports Microsoft Exchange for push email and remote synchronization, high-speed HSDPA and WiFi along with A-GPS. It has a large and bright  2.4-inch QVGA display for reading and responding to email and SMS or accessing the Internet. Other features of note includes a fixed focus 3.2 megapixel camera with video recording capability and a microSD memory card slot for storage expansion.

With a full QWERTY keyboard the S743 takes advantage of its messaging options. Although pricing and carrier are not yet known, the device will be available through select retail outlets including dell and cdw, sometime in Q1 2009 in North America.
