HTC Touch Dual with Slider Keyboard

HTC in Europe have announced the new Touch Dual, it is a device that adds a keypad to the popular HTC Touch design. It is similar to the previous version of Touch, the Touch Dual uses of HTC’s TouchFLO technology which allows navigation using fingers.

There is a new exciting add on of a slide keypad, the Touch Dual has a non-touch screen based input method for typing.

The announcement stated that there will be two versions launch of Touch Dual. One kind will have a conventional 12 key layout, but others will support a new 20 key design.
This 20 key keypad is laid out in a QWERTY style that looks very much like the SureType keypad used on BlackBerry Pearl, it has 5 columns of keys and each key represents two letters of the alphabet.

Touch Dual will have 2100MHz UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, RAM is doubled also it now supports built-in storage, and improved GSM battery talk times.

HTC Touch Dual is likely to be available on Orange in the UK, France, Romania, Poland, and Switzerland in this month.
