Intel has joined forces with five Web 2.0 companies to offer a new service to businesses.
Unveiled yesterday at the Web 2.0 Conference in San Francisco, Intel’s SuiteTwo is touted as a single program that provides all-in-one support for blogs, wikis and RSS feeds.
Users will be able to use a single log-in to access Moveable Type for blog management, SocialText for wiki creation, NewsGator and SimpleFeed for RSS reading and publishing, and SpikeSource for open source software testing and management.
SuiteTwo will let businesses set up blogs, as well as host internal company-driven and external customer-driven wiki files that can be freely edited.
Businesses would also be able to subscribe to RSS feeds from other outlets and publish their own RSS feeds for company news and announcements.
“SuiteTwo demonstrates the benefits of bringing together individual Web 2.0 products into a solution for businesses,” said Renee James, corporate vice president and general manager at Intel’s Software and Solutions group.
The project was put together through the chip giant’s Intel Capital branch.
