iTV & Movie Downloads from Apple

Steve Jobs made few major annoucements today at Apple’s event in San Francisco. Nothing like the rumoured touch screen Video iPod was announced at the event but iTunes 7 with movies downloads has been launched.

Apple now has movie downloads and Apple will launch a new hardware device called iTV (not the final name) that will bring iTunes to the living room. 75 movies from Miramax, Pixar, Touchstone, and Disney are available for paid download now. Several games are also now available on iTunes site and store.

Apple announced a major hardware device that brings iTunes and iPhoto content to the TV by connecting to home network via wifi and to the TV. It will be available for $299 starting Q1 2007.
