The LG BL40 which was captured on video some time back has now been made official by the LG. The phone had already appeared on Youtube sometime back but LG has now put all speculations about the efficacy of that video to rest. LG BL40 derives trhe soul from LG Chocolate while its claim for fame is its 21:9 aspect ratio display along with the screen resolution of 800×345.

As we had mentioned before LG BL40 is part of the designer Black Label Series. It has a 4-inch wide screen, 5 megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens, 7.2Mbps UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, and aGPS. It happens to have Flash UI which we learn about more once it hits the market. LG BL40 will be launched in Q3 2009 in 54 countries worldwide.
