LG is taking the competition from Sony Ericsson and Samsung head on with more advanced mobile devices. Their latest warrior is a 12.1 megapixel camera phone called LG GC990 or Louvre. LG wants to reach the number 2 spot in the mobile space by 2012 and it has some exciting mobile phone launches in line to accomplish that. The current no.2 Sony Ericsson is known for better camera phones and it had announced the launch of a 12 megapixel camera phone called Sony Ericsson Satio. Samsung too has a 12 megapixel camera phone in its arsenal in Samsung Pixon.

The specs of the Louvre are at par with a high end phone. It has a 3.2-inch 16:9 touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, aGPS, DNLA, TV-out, Bluetooth, XviD and DivX playback. It has Schneider-Kreuznach lens to power its 12.1 megapixel camera. It has S class UI which provides the device an intuitive menu and overall a better usability. The price of the device will be known later but expect it to burn a hole in your pocket.
