The LG GM730 phone presented at the MWC 2009 is poised to be the first smartphone to use the latest version of the Windows Mobile OS. It is also said that this will be the most functional and the easiest to use smartphone till date since the latest Windows Mobile 6.5 OS is integrated with LG’s 3D S-Class User Interface.

The LG GM730 phone user interface provides four customizable home screens that are built around a 3D cube layout. At a flick of a finger, users can instantly turn the cube from one side to the other. It will have no nested menus so as to provide direct access to features and applications.
Aside from that this will also have a 3 inch 240 x 400 WQVGA LCD touch screen display, 5-megapixel camera with Schneider Kreuznach optics and Bluetooth 2.1 technology. It’s also support WCDMA 3G 900/2100MHz and quad-band EDGE networks with GPS and Wi-Fi support. There will also be the “Chat on the Map”, which is the world’s first location-based SNS service, “allowing users to locate themselves and their friends, social network group”. It’s measures about 110 x 57 x 12mm but is packed with a lot of functional features.
The LG GM730 will be available in the first half of 2009, although pricing is not yet known.
