MOTOROKR E6, the new Linux-based touchscreen music phone from Motorola.
Motorola has unveiled yet another touch screen smartphone targeted for the Asian market. The MOTOROKR E6 is a sleek Linux smartphone with a design inspired by the SLVR. Placed in the business/entertainment segment of the market, the E6 does not have many competitors out there right now.
The new MOTOROKR E6 sports a great list of features, kicked off with a 2.0 megapixel camera that can capture videos up to 5 hours long in CIF resolution. Music lovers will appreciate the 3.5mm headphone jack, allowing you to use your favorite headphones without an adapter, and the E6 bundles a battery good for up to 14 hours of music playback. Storage wise, SD memory cards of up to 2GB are supported, great for storing videos for playback on the 2.4″ QVGA resolution touchscreen.

Business functions that you would expect from previous Motorola Linux devices are all in place, including a Document Viewer, HTML browser, and email support. Thankfully, Motorola has kept the MOTOROKR E6’s size under control, measuring a mere 14.5mm (0.57″) thick. While it is available now in China, Motorola has not announced plans to export the device to other markets as yet.
