IBM believed that iPhone is a viable platform for its web-based Lotus Notes, they may have a late 2008 release.
Currently Apple includes support for Microsoft Exchange in latest v2.0 iPhone operating system update but it still lacks several features that IBM hopes to add through Lotus iNotes.

IBM’s Lotus iNotes is expected to bring many useful features to iPhone users, such day-at-a-glance calendars, email with attachment sending capabilities, quick contact creation, information on contacts and groups, and reading email with extraneous content hidden or show options. These functions are based around IBM’s Lotus Domino Web Access infrastructure.
