office07.jpgMicrosoft just launched a new website for its suite for Microsoft Office. A quick check on Google’s cache shows that it was last updated on Oct 31st 2006.

The new site has a strong Search.  Website is pretty impressive. As an example, go to the Clip Art tab and then on the right hand side, you can download ‘today’s clip art’. Check out the Add to selection button.

On the other hand, the website does a better job of grouping similar things together now. In their downloads section, lumping all the downloads together including a separate category for Win Vista, and tabs for browsing different MS Office products… the 2007 Office System, Office 2003, Office XP and Office 2000.

In their Clip Art section, they are making available more than 150,000 free images and sounds. Need help with planning your Thanksgiving meal planner, head over to the templates section. The templates section is pretty well organized with lots of categories. They make it easier now with a Built By Request, Staff pick and a Top rated section made more prominent.

Best and most coolest is the Test drive feature for the new MS Office Live. In This section, you can also get a domain name or transfer your existing domain to Microsoft Office live.

The package is going to be shipped in a cool packaging
