Nokia has officially launched its first ever touch screen phone, Nokia 5800 MusicXpress in Taiwan. It is being said as the Nokia’s answer to Apple iPhone since its launch. Nokia 5800 MusicXpress will retail at NT$14,900 (US$446) in Taiwan. Nokia has kept the price under control as it wants to play the numbers game.

Nokia has further confirmed that Nokia 5800 will soon be available in other markets like Russia, Spain, India, Hong Kong and Finland. The folks in other countries who have been waiting to get their hands on this phone by Christmas will miss it dearly.
Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is the most promising handset from Nokia after N96 and we have been waiting for its launch. It has been reported by some sources that Nokia 5800 XpressMusic will retail at 21,839 in India. The phone will be available in India at the beginning of January 2009.
The base price of Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is €279 in Europe but Nokia is bundling mandatory €100 Nokia Music Store voucher and three months worth of Nokia Maps subscriptions which takes the price to €429. The price will be €279 if you plan to buy it next year or after Christmas.
We are fairly positive about this product until Nokia also plays the bitch game that Apple did with iPhone by selling it at 4 times the price of handset in markets like Australia and India.
