Nokia stops sales in Japan, except high-end Vertu Phones

World’s biggest cellphone maker Nokia have decided to pull out from Japan, and was announced last Thursday. Nokia will stop selling mobile phones in Japan except for its luxury Vertu brand after struggling hard to expand.

Finnish Nokia has also said it will cut costs, as the upcoming economic downfall is also going to hinder the mobile phone sales.

They also mentioned that Nokia’s Japanese business would concentrate on research, development and sourcing for the global market as well as specific projects such as the Vertu brand.
