Guardian has reported that Nokia is making a U turn in its approach by making an Android based phone which the company might launch as showcase at Nokia World Conference in September.
Nokia had bought the Symbian with the intention to make it more attractive among the developers. Nokia has not been very successful in doing that. Nokia misses a lot when compared against the Apple’s iPhone App Store. Apple did it successfully by enticing the developers to create applications for the Apple iPhone. Nokia is probably looking to address that weakness by using Android for few handsets.
