Nokia is planning a new project called the Home Control Center, where customers will be able to access, monitor and control some of the features in their homes, such as electricity usage, security systems, pre-heating an oven and even answering the doorbell all of that and more using their mobile phone!
Nokia mobile home control system is likely to be commercially available by the end of 2009. No other information about pricing is available yet.

It will be great to see a system that makes all appliances around you inter-operable. Teppo Paavola, Nokia’s vice president of corporate development said, “We want to create an open solution where external partners can develop their own solutions and services on top of our platform.
