Nokia N97 Mini has finally been made official by the Nokia’s CEO Anssi Vanjok at the Nokia World 2009. The annual event hosted by Nokia throws some launches and big developments every year. Nokia Mini was making news for quite some time now since it was discovered in the wilderness of Russia.

Nokia N97 Mini is gonna be a lighter version of Nokia N97 with slightly lesser features. The measurement of the Nokia N97 Mini is also smaller than that of the standard version. Nokia is going to reatail the handset at $639 but Nokia claims that the handset will be available for free (as in bundled with the mobile service) in many markets.

North America should find itself lucky with the subsidizes bundling while folks in Asia will have to shell out dear moolah to get this darling. Nokia is trying to market the handset by positioning it as a “slimmest travel companion” courtesy the Lonely Planet guidebooks installed in it. The handset will be available in markets from October.
