Panasonic new In Flight Internet Strategy

Published in Hardware, Internet, Software by Aditi Tuteja

Boeing recently withdrew from providing in-flight broadband called Connexion. It is believed that it was becomign too expensive to keep planes equipped with it.

Panasonic is now coming  in picture, they will not take over or replace the Boeing service, but they’ve figured out a way to use a similar approach so that they can easily switch existing Connexion-outfitted planes to their own service which will be cheaper yet faster.

Panasonic has made a smart move, by doing this as there is definatly future of internet on the move, but it will be all dependent on how cost effective and well planned is thier strategy to get this installation done on planes.
