Picsir the new web2.0 image scanner

Published in Internet, Web 2.0 by Aditi Tuteja

picsir.jpgPicsir is an image scanner and gallery generator. Picsir runs an image search and generates images based on an image link that you provide. It works by incrementing numbers in the original file name in attempt to find and display more images that might follow a similar pattern. You can add a bookmarklet tool to you toolbar and use it when you want to use Picsir to search for images for you.

Picsir lets you:
- Create image galleries on the fly with a clean interface
- Navigate through hundreds of images quickly
- Share dynamic galleries with friends and family, just link them to Picsir
- Find unpublished images, uploaded but not linked
- Help you review graphic designs by displaying many numbered variations at once
- Filter out the “broken links” and only show what works

What Picsir is not, is that it doesn’t claim to be an image hosting service or a keyword search engine. It will only work with direct image links. So you cannot even type in some key words and expect Picsir to generate images for you.
