I think I have saved like 1000 Rupee by not subscribing to any newspaper in last few months. I personally feel it’s the wastage of money when you have better resources online which give you better and faster news update. I have subscribed the RSS feeds of some really good news websites so I get all the news in my Google Reader.

For some reason I never felt the need to subscribe to the RSS feed of Reuters, the news agency which has recently been acquired by Thomson. I expected Reuters to improve its functions and all like we after any big merger. The words like “Synergy” were used or rather abused during the merger.
Today I was reading some news item at Reuters website and I saw what appears to be an ad but is actually a link to other relevant stories. And dear oh dear… three out of four featured stories were the same and titled “Google rolls out rival to iPhone.”
They really need a better webmaster. I really don’t expect such foolishness from Reuters. It seems like I should subscribe the RSS feed of Reuters as well if I don’t want to see such nonsense again.
