BlackBerry has launched its first ever clamshell smartphone which was being called BlackBerry KickStart earlier. The latest mobile from Research in Motion seems like a combination of looks as well as performance. It seems that RIM has really started to give priority to looks now or it could be that they are trying new things in the face of competition from Apple iPhone.

BlackBerry Pearl 8220 is a slim and cool looking smart phone with above par multimedia capabilities by the standards of BlackBerry. BlackBerry Pearl 8220 boasts of a 2 megapixel camera along with two high resultion displays.  It has a  full SureType QWERTY keyboard in this one so the true BlackBerry lovers will like it. Other than that it has a premium features like Speaker Independent Voice Recognition and Voice Activated Dialling as wel.

The cell phone will be available from T Mobile in USA from this fall.
