RIM To Launch Own App Store

Published in Blackberry by sushaantu

It seems like everyone now wants to have their share of application action on their application stores. Apple started an App Store where users can buy applications for their iPhone. Similarly Google has also launched an Android market for the applications made by developers for the Android platform. Microsoft has similar plans to start Skymarket and if that was not enough Blackberry is also planing to launch Application Center. There have been leaked images of Blackberry Application Center on the internet which are in contrast with BlackBerry Co-CEO Jim Balsillie’s denial of the possibility of App Store for BlackBerry handsets.

It is believed that this Application Centre will debut with the BlackBerry Storm software version 4.7 while carriers are expected to control these application markets. More details will be available later this month.
