ROKR E8 by Motorola

Motorola ROKR E8 definitely looks better than many other phones from the company. The Rokr E8 is company’s first touch screen phone with hepnatics technology which provides tactile response when key is pressed which means you will feel a vibrational response every time you will press on the screen.

The candy bar style phone weighs 100 grams and includes a 2.0″ QVGA (240×320 pixels) 262k TFT display, a 2.0 megapixel camera with 8x zoom, video recording, media player, 2GB internal memory, card slot for external memory support of up to 4GB, 3.5 mm stereo headset jack, stereo Bluetooth with A2DP and airplane mode.

There is a fast scroll navigation wheel in the middle which allows you to scroll through songs, contacts and image diary with the slide of a thumb. The company touted this navigation wheel as a “revolution” when it debuted E8 at CES 2008. The phone is priced 240 Euros and it will be available in the European markets in the fourth quarter this year. T-Mobile will start shipping the Motorola ROKR E8 on July 7th for $199.99 with a 2 year contract in USA.

Did I tell you that Rokr E8 lacks 3G? But I guess some people can certainly overlook this considering how cool it looks. Motorola seems like in the mood of revisiting the good ol’ Moto RAZR days. But seriously this phone deserves better than just good looks. Motorola should consider adding some more reasons to buy than just glossy appearance.
